Product Characteristics:
(1) Pinoxaden, belonging to the ACCase inhibitor category, shares the same class as Aryloxyphenoxypropionate (Fop) and Cyclohexanedione (Dim) herbicides, but due to its novel chemical structure, it acts on different sites of action.
(2) High efficiency, broad spectrum, quick action: Pinoxaden is a selective, systemic herbicide for monocotyledonous weeds, characterized by high efficiency, broad spectrum, and quick action. After application, Pinoxaden can be absorbed by weed leaves, then translocate to meristematic tissues, inhibiting the synthesis of esters in dividing cells, leading to rapid cessation of weed growth and subsequent necrosis.
(3) High safety: Pinoxaden is a foliar herbicide with minimal absorption by plant roots and low soil activity, degrading rapidly in the soil. It exhibits safety towards succeeding wheat, barley, and non-target organisms, as well as good environmental safety after planting. Weeds exhibit symptoms of poisoning 1-3 weeks after application, with rapid necrosis of meristematic tissues. It is mainly used to control monocotyledonous weeds in fields of spring wheat, winter wheat, durum wheat, barley, and other cereal crops, such as Alopecurus, Aegilops, Setaria, etc.
(4) Pinoxaden exhibits good compatibility with other herbicides and can be tank-mixed with most broadleaf weed herbicides in wheat fields. It can be tank-mixed with 50 g/L Florasulam suspension concentrate, 58 g/L Florasulam + Fluroxypyr suspension concentrate, Metsulfuron-methyl, etc., for one-time application to control all weeds in wheat fields. It has a wide application period, from the 2-leaf to 1-tiller stage of wheat seedlings, with the optimal timing being 3-5 leaf stage of most monocotyledonous weeds.
(5) Pinoxaden exhibits excellent control activity against weeds resistant to ACCase inhibitors, especially achieving nearly 100% effectiveness against some pernicious monocotyledonous weeds such as Aegilops cylindrica, Avena fatua, Lolium multiflorum, etc.
(6) Pinoxaden effectively controls Lolium multiflorum with stable efficacy. Lolium multiflorum is an annual grass of the Poaceae family native to Europe, thriving in warm and humid climates, tolerant to low temperatures and salinity, with strong regeneration and reproductive ability. It is an excellent forage grass for cattle, sheep, pigs, rabbits, geese, etc., and has been introduced and cultivated in various regions of China. Due to human activities or soil erosion, Lolium multiflorum gradually invades wheat fields, causing harm.
(7) Pinoxaden is globally used not only in the “Grains” (wheat and barley fields) market for controlling annual grass weeds (such as Avena fatua, Lolium multiflorum, Setaria, Alopecurus, etc.), but also in the “Non-Crop” category (lawns and horticulture), especially in Europe and North America.
