CAS:447399-55-5
Formulation: 40% pyroxasulfone SC
Product Name: Pyroxasulfone
Product Type: Pesticide/Herbicide
Generic Name: Pyroxasulfone
Chemical Composition: Pyroxasulfone is a herbicide, with its chemical structure as follows (Please note: a chemical formula or structural diagram can be inserted here if needed).
Product Characteristics:
First: High activity, low dosage. According to report registered products abroad, pyroxasulfone is an excellent pre-emergence soil-applied herbicide. Depending on the soil texture, the application rate is 125-250 g a.i./hm2, which is 8-10 times lower than that of isopropylmethylphenylcarbamate (IPMP) and ethametsulfuron, equivalent to only 12% of the dose of S-isopropylmethylphenylcarbamate and 10% of the dose of ethametsulfuron.
Second: Broad spectrum of control. Pyroxasulfone can be used to control various annual grass and broadleaf weeds. Pyroxasulfone can effectively control more than a dozen species of annual grass weeds, such as Setaria, Avena fatua, Alopecurus, Poa annua, Digitaria, Aegilops, Lolium, etc., and control or suppress more than a dozen species of annual broadleaf weeds, such as Amaranthus, Euphorbia, Solanum, Chenopodium, Portulaca, Nicotiana, Polygonum, Chenopodium, and Ageratum.
Third: Applicable to multiple crops, high safety. According to labels registered abroad, pyroxasulfone has a wide range of applicable crops and can be used on crops such as corn, soybeans, cotton, wheat, sunflowers, potatoes, peanuts, etc., to control annual grass and broadleaf weeds. Such a wide range of applicable crops is rare among registered herbicide varieties. Especially in major crops such as corn and wheat, registered herbicide varieties are often not compatible due to differences in herbicide selectivity. For example, common herbicides for wheat such as pinoxaden, mesotrione, flucarbazone, and pyroxsulam are currently only registered for weed control in wheat fields and cannot be used for weed control in corn fields; similarly, common herbicide varieties for corn such as flumioxazin, isoxaflutole, mesotrione, isoxaflutole, and benzobicyclon are currently only registered for weed control in corn fields and cannot be used for weed control in wheat fields.
Forth: Excellent control effect and long duration of efficacy.
Scope of Application: Pyroxasulfone is widely used in agricultural production, suitable for weed control in the following crops:
Pyroxasulfone is an oxazole herbicide mainly used as a pre-emergent closure treatment agent, with excellent efficacy against grasses and broadleaf weeds. It has a wide range of applicable crops and can be used on crops such as wheat, corn, peanuts, rice, soybeans, cotton, etc., with promising application prospects.
